50 YEARS CELEBRATION WITH 17-18 WINTER CAMPAIGN
WITH MATTHEW BROOKES AND KIT BUTLER
For Fall/Winter 17-18, Cerruti 1881 celebrates 5 decades of masculine, relaxed elegance with a modern and dynamic new advertising campaign. The campaign was shot by fashion photographer Matthew Brookes in a luminous studio in Paris, under the vision of Jason Basmajian, Cerruti 1881’s Chief Creative Officer. The campaign features model Kit Butler, who embodies the Cerruti man.
The concept for the campaign is inspired by Cerruti’s Fall/Winter 50 year anniversary runway show. The mood is mysterious, cinematic with a play on shadow and surfaces.
The campaign juxtaposes natural light with a series of light sculptures in geometric shapes, intensifying the cinematic elements that highlight the ready-to-wear collection and accessories. The images comprise the entire Cerruti range: Men’s ready-to-wear, leather goods, accessories, women’s handbags and the men’s denim collection.
Jason Basmajian, Chief Creative Officer of Cerruti, says: “We are excited to work with both Kit and Matthew on this campaign. Kit brings a masculine, youthful exuberance combined with an actor’s charm and Matthew’s dramatic lighting and textural images give a modern edge to the campaign that reflects the brand’s ethos”.
